Schedule updates: Chris Stamey, Slasher Risk added; Frontier Ruckus, Jennyanykind swapped

We regret to announce that, due to a family emergency, Brooklyn noise duo Mouthus has had to cancel its Thursday, Sept. 8, appearance at the Hopscotch Music Festival. One half of the band, Nate Nelson, will still appear with Lower Dens at Kings on Thursday night, as scheduled. Slasher Risk has taken Mouthus’ spot at Berkeley Café on Thursday night, opening for the legendary Oxbow at 11 p.m.
In other schedule news, Jennyanykind and Frontier Ruckus have traded headlining spots at Deep South the Bar. Frontier Ruckus will now headline the room Friday, Sept. 9, while Jennyanykind will headline Saturday, Sept. 10.
Lastly, Peter Holsapple will no longer be speaking at Saturday’s portion of the Edward McKay Used Books & More Artist and Author Series, entitled The Bubble: The Limits of Pop Music. Instead, his fellow dB Chris Stamey will join the discussion and play a few songs at the 3 p.m. start of the panel. Additionally, Wooden Wand will play a few solo songs at the 3 p.m. start of his panel on Friday, Sept. 9.
Reminder: Wristband distribution starts TOMORROW at the downtown Raleigh Sheraton. Details are here. Some tickets remain for our headlining shows in City Plaza on Friday and Saturday, featuring The Flaming Lips, Guided by Voices, Drive-By Truckers, Superchunk and more. Purchase them here.
