Since the COVID-19 pandemic became a reality of life for North Carolina and the world at large, we have held out hope that our festival might still go on as planned. But it has become clear that to ensure the safety of our attendees, employees, artists, and volunteers, Hopscotch Music Festival will no longer take place in 2020. Hopscotch is — and always will be — a community-driven event, and this decision was reached with the well-being of our community in mind.
Over the upcoming weeks however, we will announce a series of online events presented this fall with the goal of helping those hit hardest by the pandemic. The venues, artists, bars, local retail, and restaurants that help make Hopscotch so special each year can use our support right now, and we hope to be able to contribute to their future in the months to come.
Looking to the future, we are happy to announce that Hopscotch will return to downtown Raleigh next year on September 9-11, 2021. Planning for next year is underway, and we’re excited to make up for lost time. We hope to bring back our Halfway to Hopscotch event in the Spring of 2021 and will let you know once our dates and location for this event have been confirmed.
If you bought an early bird ticket for the 2020 festival, you can roll it over to the 2021 festival or request a refund. Attendees who roll over their ticket to the 2021 festival will receive Hopscotch merch or rewards in addition to staying locked-in at the 2020 early bird price. All current ticket holders should receive an email today with full refund options. You can reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any ticketing questions.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work through all of this together. We hope you are staying safe, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
