"On a break from the now legendary Two Dollar Pistols, John Howie Jr. looked to broaden his scope and incorporate influences that had crept into his songwriting: Southern soul, rhythm & blues and country-rock. John Howie Jr. & The Rosewood Bluff emerged - his second act as a true country songwriter.
After twelve years with the Pistols traveling the United States and Europe, packing clubs and being flown to festivals, John stayed closer to home and honed his craft. The Rosewood Bluff’s Leavin' Yesterday (2011) and Everything Except Goodbye (2014) were met with acclaim.
2020 found John and the Rosewood Bluff releasing the ""Better Things"" single & video and working on a new album of original material, Never Enough, for release in 2023."
