The son of Sierra Leonean Parents, LesTheGenius (Leslie Robbin-Coker) was born in Edmonton London, England and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Inspired by other Carolina natives such as J.Cole, Les is able to create a unique style focused on socially conscious, intelligent lyrics enhanced through his rhythmic delivery over jazz-influenced tracks. Les received his first national break through an unlikely outlet for most musicians, the Raleigh artist landed a spot on former President Barack Obama’s favorite music of 2019 playlist with his hometown anthem “Raleighwood Hills”. Since then, Les has been able to keep up momentum amassing over 2.5 million streams independently across platforms with his remarkable single runs, visuals and events.
