VIP FAQ's
While VIP passes are available for purchase for guests as young as 13 years of age, our VIP amenities are designed for adult guests 21 years of age and above.
Children 12 years of age and under are not required to have a ticket to the festival. However, they will not be permitted into the VIP areas at City Plaza and Moore Square, nor will they be permitted to attend the VIP parties. We kindly ask that children enjoy the festival from the GA areas.
All Hopscotch attendees 13 years of age and older must have a VIP pass for admission to the VIP areas at City Plaza and Moore Square.
VIP attendees under the age of 21 will be permitted into our VIP parties each day. These events are held at different venues, typically bars, throughout downtown Raleigh. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available for underage attendees.
Individual venues may have age restrictions for their club shows. Check back closer to the festival for age restrictions on club shows.
VIP passes will grant you priority access to club shows, but we cannot guarantee entry. Admission is limited to each individual club’s total capacity; once capacity is reached, the club will enact a one-in-one-out policy.
If you are a VIP attendee for Hopscotch, you’ll have priority over GA attendees for admission into the club once a one-in-one-out policy is in place.
Relax in style at our Oak City Lounge, available at both City Plaza and Moore Square! Amenities include:
- A tented space, covered and shaded to relax in between your favorite acts
- Lounge seating of couches and armchairs, along with tables and chairsÂ
- Private bar with discounted drink pricing available exclusively to VIPs
- Snacks provided each evening (City Plaza Lounge only)
- Private, air-conditioned restrooms

Each VIP pass includes two drink tickets for each day of the festival, which are redeemable at the Oak City Lounge bar (located in the VIP tent) at either City Plaza or Moore Square. Drink tickets are valid for either alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. Drink tickets are not redeemable at the GA bars.
VIPs receive discounted drink prices at both Oak City Lounge bars during the festival.
VIP parties will also include two drink tickets per VIP pass.
VIP drink tickets and discounted drink pricing are not available at club shows.
We’ll release more information on the locations and caterers for VIP parties closer to the festival – stay tuned!
While we do our best to provide an array of food options, we are unable to accommodate individual allergy or dietary concerns. Allergy and dietary information for food options available at the parties will be communicated ahead of time, and displayed during the event.
