Adam Amram Family Band is a Brooklyn-based folk group led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist
Adam Amram. Raised in a deeply musical household, Adam is the son of composer and cultural icon
David Amram—known for collaborations with Bob Dylan, Dizzy Gillespie, Willie Nelson, and Jack
Kerouac. From an early age, Adam was immersed in music, traveling as a percussionist alongside his
father and soaking in influences from folk, jazz, poetry, and global traditions.
The Family Band’s music blends timeless folk storytelling with raw, contemporary textures. Adam’s
songs carry themes of movement, memory, and freedom—rooted in the American road and the spaces
between people. His debut album To the End features 12 original songs recorded by Hunter Davidsohn
(Frankie Cosmos, Porches), capturing a sound that feels both familiar and new—dusty, tender, and
unshakably honest.
Live, the band brings a warm and dynamic energy, moving between intimate acoustic moments and
expansive psych-folk arrangements.
