Singer Songwriter Maia Kamil is at home in the world. Her music is a conversation between soul and landscape–deeply personal, yet universally resonant. In 2020, Maia relocated from the East Coast to North Carolina, where she began collaborating with legendary guitarist and producer Charlie Hunter. Their work together helped refine Maia’s distinctive sound–warm, earthy, emotionally rich, with echoes of Laurel Canyon storytelling, New Orleans soul, and global folk traditions. The combination of Maia’s captivating voice and Charlie’s masterful musicianship creates a powerful musical synergy.
Their collaboration continues to this day, with a new album slated for release this fall.
