Born in Harlem and raised in Durham, North Carolina, he is known widely as The Moshpit Messiah and King of the Pirates. In his own words: "My music is conscious, but my music is also chaotic. His debut album S.K.U.L.L. tackled police brutality, mental health, and systemic oppression. He followed with MOSHPIT MESSIAH, written during the pandemic — a period of isolation, uprising, and global reckoning. His latest release, Mentally I'm Here (2025), is his most personal work yet — a searingly honest reckoning with depression, mental illness, grief, and the unimaginable weight of watching his young son Onyx battle brain cancer while never losing his role as a father first.
He has opened for Denzel Curry, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and H09909, and returns to Hopscotch Music Festival in 2026.
