Formed in 2021 in Richmond, VA, Private Hell is a band that distills the essence of extreme punk and metal music down to its core. Drawing inspiration from American Hardcore, Swedish Death Metal, UK Crust, and Japanese Punk, the band has continued to sharpen their sound to create pulverizing music that blends primitive riffs with an unrelenting sonic assault that could only come from the River City. Their 2024 self released “Wake Up Screaming” single showed the band exploring the darker depths of the classic extreme metal, while retaining their core punk sound.
